Round 9 o‘clock in
the morning you as the guest arrive at my house, an idyllic place
situated between two rivers in the forest. Nevertheless it can be easily
reached by public transport: in only 10 min the metro S4 takes you from
Zurich central station or bus no. 70 from the youth hostel to Leimbach
station which is only a stone‘s throw away. On arrival you‘ll be served
with coffee and tea while we inform you about the workshop day. Besides
the knifemaking itself the wonderful surroundings make for another
attraction to make you spending an unforgettable day.
It seems a little
miracle, but until midday all participants will have forged a raw knife
and prepared a handle for it. Around lunchtime we will have a barbecue
of Swiss specialities on a huge open fire, play with dog and chickens,
swim in the canal behind the house in summertime, and what‘s more. In
the afternoon all participants continue with sharpening and polishing
their knife and by 4 or 5 pm everyone can take home a unique keepsake
and memories of a great day.

leather handmade by handicapped people in a manufactory in Zurich
Oberland can be purchased upon request.
Price for the full
day including knife and lunch: CHF 150.-
